My first Review Yay!!!1

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

You all should know what an Emo is and how much you hate them. So what would happen if your Form Teacher was an Emo?

This anime had gotten me laughing my head off for the sheer wierdness this anime has. The story is a comedy like School Rumble, One that takes place in a school and probably does not ever happen but it is still funny.

Result 8/10

Those who like School Rumble or simply want to laugh at Emos should watch this anime

Hey newbie here,

Any good series.... Let's see.... Oh i watched Potemayo the other day!!

Originally started as 4-koma comic turned into anime (typical thing to do these days, transforming 4 koma comic into anime). About an ultra cute tiny alien thingy named Potemayo, and her life with her owner.

I give 8/10 overall. Though i find it funny, cute and somehow satisfying, i couldn't bring it to a 10/10. I mean it is good and i recommend it, but it's not that good compared to other 4-koma based comic like lucky star or azumanga daioh. The art is clean and some of the scenes are funny, but what truly win this series is the character herself Potemayo.

Code Geass

10/10

The cases of many animes and movies in the past is that they always have such a cliche or stupid ending it sort of ruins the entire movie. Watching the ending of the Code Geass' first season gave me that feeling as well, pissing me of verily since the show was at a major point. It pissed me off even more when I found out that the 2nd season continues a year after what happens.

However, the series has ended and the ending was such a great twist that I believed was the only way to end this series.

This series had many great things. Good story good design and great characters, though the character are all thin fragile looking things due to them being designed by the shoujo manga artists CLAMP.

It is a must watch for people who like war games.

Higurashi no naku koro ni (When they cry - Higurashi)

10/10

Not your avergae typical psychological/horror/mystery anime. It's filled with moe girls, a couple of loli and a few fanservice now and then. BUT that's not what the series is about...

The series takes place in a small village up the mountain called Hinamizawa. It focus on a young man named Maebara Keiichi who just recently moved into the village and befriend with the local kids. Life may be peaceful at first, until he discovered dark secrets on the what's-supposed-to-be-peaceful village.

Higurashi no naku koro ni is divided into 8 story arcs. 4 question arcs and 4 answer arcs. The question arcs are tend to focus on the paranoia eating up Keiichi or one of his friends which will lead to tragedy and murders. While the answer arcs will tie the loose end of the question arcs answering the mysteries that were unsolved in the question arcs. Though each story arcs are different, throughout the arcs, the real mastermind behind these tragedies and paranoia will reveal themselves.

I hope that summarise the series but anyway, yes i enjoyed this series very very much. Though i know some people will disgaree with me and look at me with a weird look (e.g - Jiubei). The reason why i like this series is not because of the fanservice or the gore, I enjoyed this series because its different. I'm not usually a psychological anime fan, but something about higurashi give me the guilty pleasure. Maybe because of the mix of mystery/psychological/fanservice and the cute character design, but apart from that it's a unique horror anime.

I highly recommend this to fans alike who enjoy dark genre. Though you may find it to be too kiddish at first, due to the characters design, it gets darker later on. If you want me to put it in a simpler term, i say that this anime is a total mix of Suzumiya Haruhi-level fanservice, an evangelion-like character design, a touch of death note psychological, a detective conan-like mystery and a friday the 13th-esque gore.

Clannad

I have been meaning to put up a review about this anime. This anime is based off a graphic novel from a company simply called Key and they are very well known for their well written stories in any game or graphic novel made by them.

And they have a very good relationship with the Kyoto Animation Company which was the company that animated many popular animes like Full Metal Panic Ffumoffu and 2nd Raid and the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. This relationship came from Key giving Kyoto Animation its big break by hirin them to animate one of their works "Air". Of course that was not the only reason Kyoto Animation became so successful, but also because of their then-considered movie quality animation (excluding Ghibli films which are considered extremely top notch animation.), which has caused the quality of present animes to be raised (more frames per second, etc). But enough of a background of the company now lets get to the anime.

Clannad as said is based off a novel by key. It is about a boy delinquent who goes through his school life and he meets a girl that changed that life forever.

Of course, you have heard that base story so many times it gets boring right? But there are a few things special about this anime.

One of the many things is that it is not all drama or all comedy. It is mixed, there are times when it is so funny you burst out laughing. Sometimes its so serious you just sit and watch quietly and sometimes it can be so sad it can make you cry.

In the Earth Clannad is in, the world has that little bit of magic. It does not show as some magical girl or alien. But more of how a person's wish can come true if he wants it to happen that much. There is no special effects, no bang, no flare. Just that little bit of mystery that pops up once in awhile.

The most important and thing that sets it defferently from other school romance is that this anime actually goes far beyond that and continue the story even after they graduate. No I do not mean an epilogue or short stories, but an entire season of their lives after their school life.

The story is good, I cant really describe how good it is. But I guess I am a sucker for what this anime is about. As the name has stated (for those who knows a little about Irish) Clannad is about Family, and the affects it can have on one.

It is a touching story and a must watch. There are two seaons of it Clannad and Clannad After Story so watch them in the right order...... I think Dingo would like it but im not sure about his take on touching anime.

I think I should say that Im not gonna put the personal grade of the anime. You guys would know from a little reading if im writing about this anime either to tell you to go get it now or avoid it like the plague.
